Beverly Stauffer, MS, MPH, is a seasoned professional specializing in behavior change interventions, health provider training, community mobilization, and as an instructor on participatory planning, monitoring, and evaluating. . Beverly has held senior management and technical advisor positions in Indonesia, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, India, Sri Lanka, Armenia, Kosovo and Thailand. She specializes in health services administration and disease prevention including HIV/AIDS prevention for high risk groups, avian influenza, and infection control.
John Augsburger, MSW, brings to ARI a decade of experience managing humanitarian work in Indonesia, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, India, Sudan, Uganda, Zambia and Kosovo. John has successfully developed funded proposals and maintained good relationships with donors including: DANIDA, DEC, DFID, ECHO, GTZ, Ireland Aid, OFDA, TearFund, UNHCR, UNICEF, and USAID. He has served in leadership capacities for UNICEF, USAID, and numerous international humanitarian organizations.
John is a results-driven and quality-minded manager. As head of office in Aceh, Indonesia, he oversaw the close-out of a $90 million Aceh/Nias Tsunami Response during its final year of operation. He is credited with ensuring the smooth transition of four field offices from recovery to development programming. In Ethiopia, John managed a $17 million portfolio for the Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance (2005-2007). He is certified as a USAID Cognizant Technical Officer.
Prior to his career in humanitarian aid, John founded and directed three private businesses. He has served as CEO of a construction company, as founding shareholder and vice president of a national distributing company, and as a licensed clinical social worker.
